JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Group Fitness Instructor will be responsible for providing group fitness instruction to clients while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. As a GYMGUYZ Group Fitness Instructor, you will provide professional instruction for each class while providing the highest level of customer service. Additionally, you must be able to adapt to various fitness levels and modify class instruction to create a safe, fun, and encouraging experience. You must also be able to adapt to various work environments including corporations, small businesses, residential complexes, and other business settings (both indoor and outdoor). The distance of travel to your clients may vary but is generally within 30 minutes. Drive time of more than 30 minutes and mileage may be reimbursed at the discretion of your manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create a safe, fun, and effective group exercise class
Personal training in a small group class, if applicable
Modify the workout design for the beginner and advanced participant
Be able to accommodate injuries or limitations
Motivate clients to their physical limits while providing encouragement and morale support
Be punctual and effectively manage appointments
Ensure the integrity of each client's class setting
Ensure safe and effective use of equipment by client and/or groups, if applicable
Ensure that the exercise equipment is kept clean and in good working condition after each session, if applicable
Apply first aid procedures and respond to emergency situation needs
Drive a GYMGUYZ branded vehicle, if applicable
Adhere to all company policies
Other duties as assigned in accordance with the scope of the GXI position

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Group Exercise Instructor (Strength, Bootcamp, Pilates style formats require AFAA or ACE certification; Yoga requires a Yoga Alliance RYS 200 certification)
Certified in CPR/AED
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1 year as a Group Fitness Instructor
Good communication skills; verbal, written, and technical
Have a basic understanding of nutrition and healthy living practices
Knowledgeable of a variety of exercise equipment and personal training methods
Clean Driver’s License
Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform athletic calisthenics duties

Compensation: $23.00 - $40.00 per hour
